The Great Rope of Tallaght will be a 1.5-kilometre sculptural thread of rope that will weave its way through the streets of Tallaght, 13 – 15th June 2019.
The rope is currently being created by many individuals, schools and community groups who are inspired by Tallaght, its history and their place within this vibrant community.
Working with our artist team led by lead rope maker Gabriella McGrath, over thirty community groups have been busy using hand held rope machines to create their own section of rope which will carry their personal stories, artifacts, memories and hopes for the future.
If you, your community group/school would like to become involved in our project and make your own bespoke rope to represent yourself or your group, please get in touch on 01 4528180

The Great Rope of Tallaght is produced by Tallaght Community Arts, supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, South Dublin County Council Arts Office, Creative Ireland and
